Fire Safety Direct Ltd was established with the idea of providing a transparent quality driven cost effective All Inclusive Service package to Local Authorities and private business alike.  To date we now have over 3,500 private customers from small corner shops to multinational Companies and Local Authorities.

 

In 2009 we became the approved contractor for the Welsh Purchasing Consortium Framework Agreement to Fourteen Welsh Councils supplying an All Inclusive Service Maintenance Package and supply of new fire fighting equipment, full site risk assessments and quarterly Management reviews. In 2014 Fire Safety Direct Ltd were re-awarded the Welsh Purchasing Consortium Contract due to our experience, understanding   and exceptional performance we have provided throughout the running of the Framework Contract.

 

 In 2005 to date City & County of Swansea, Facility Service Group (FSG), DVLA Swansea, National Assembly of Wales and Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service gave us the responsibility of the service and maintenance of their on-site Fire Equipment, Fire Alarms and Emergency Lighting systems again our success is attributed to our All Inclusive Service Package and the quality of our service provided by our engineers and administration staff alike.

These third party accreditations are intended to reassure you that you are dealing with a professional company, which has a quality system in place for the installation and inspection of Fire Fighting Equipment and Fire Alarm Systems.

 

We have 16  Engineers which are industry recognised qualified CRB/DBS checked , FETA, BAFE , 17th edition 2382-101 electrical and wiring installation, 2377-201 management and maintenance electrical equipment, 2377-101 inspection and testing of electrical equipment qualified and all work carried out meets with the strict guidelines laid out by each registration. Also we have BPI trained trainers to provide bespoke Warden, Marshall Fire Awareness Courses and all of our portable engineers carry F.I.R.E refresher course certificates to comply to the BAFE standards and BS5306 – 3:2009.  We have Welsh speaking engineers and administration staff if required.

 

The fire equipment we supply is BSI & CE Kite marked and has a no quibble 5 year guarantee.  All new products are sourced and purchased from Local Welsh Businesses and we offer a same day delivery time. 

 

We provide a 24 hour 365 day call out for all our customers.

 

All contracts are overseen by the Operations Director backed up by the Office Manager and the rest of the admin team, any account enquiries are answered by the accounts Manager and his admin staff. 

 

We encourage all our Contract administrators to accompany our quality assessors at our engineers 3 monthly quality audits to satisfy themselves that they are happy with how the contract is being managed.  Our engineers provide each site with a full fire equipment numbered location list which in turn is then typed up at our office and a full location asset list is provided to the administrators.  Our engineers also provides a quality audit questionnaire which the site then completes and returns to our office which gives a true indication of our engineer’s quality, attendance and performance.  We are more than happy to provide copies of all quality audit questionnaires to the contract administrators.  We have used the quality audit questionnaires as one of our KPI’s on all of our Framework Contracts since 2009 with great success.

 

 Before starting any service work our engineer will ask to see a copy of the Risk Assessment and Asbestos Register and ask if there are any special instructions for each site. As previous mentioned   all fire fighting equipment will be serviced and installed to BS5306 Part 3 2009 and BS5306 Part 8 2012.  All appropriate PPE kit are carried on their vehicles and used in the responsible and safe manner when servicing.
